Wednesday, June 28, 2017 - Upon opening, we felt the wine was corked as its super plummy with a wet cardboard nose. I thought the wine was heated at some point. We decanted the wine for 2 hours. Wow, its a complete different wine. Nose has tobacco, black tea, red fruit, earth, smoke and prunes. Im shocked that the acidity actually grows in the glass after decanting. Still very fresh and vibrant. Very integrated and expressive. It is drinking very well but it will stay at this level for easily 10 more years. I would want more complexity on the palate to rate it higher than 93.
