Friday, December 5, 2014 - Zachy's Wine Auction - Winter 2014 (Smith & Wollensky (48th & 3rd Ave)): Poured from a mag. This is a nice wine, but suffered a bit from the competition @ the table. Provided by Zachy's during the auction given the Antinori theme. I continue to like my Italians with some age on them - this was much better than the '11 that was poured. Felt like this was drinking perfectly actually - tannins had softened, flavors were integrated. Still get that cough syrup flavor that I find in IGT's, but I liked it. By itself would have been a great wine to drink, but overshadowed.
