Saturday, April 20, 2024 - From magnum. Holding on to a youthful deep garnet colour. Pronounced aromatics of sous-bois, Ceylon tea, leather, olive and some savoury 5-spice notes in the background. This showed none of the pruney notes of previous bottles consumed over the past few years which came across as much more evolved. Full to medium-bodied with flavours of dried dark fruit and some cherry notes. Most of the action was on the front to mid palate. Decent length with a bit of grip persisting on the finish. Delicious now but I can't see further upside.
