Glass: Riedel Burgundy Superleggero
Popped and poured. Beautiful German Spätburgunder at its very best. Lovely complex and multi-layered nose. On the palate silky tannin, beautiful ripe and racy acidity. Dense, deep, wonderful tension, great balance and harmony and with a wonderful delicacy. Long and lingering finish. Wonderful wine! 94-95

Glass: Speiegelau Definition Universal
Popped and poured. Clear, pale-medium citrus golden color. Clean, very elegant, medium- intense nose that allows for easy identification as a Mosel Riesling: Fine, spicy slate aromas, white peach, vanilla, very youthful and feather light.
Somewhere between medium-dry and medium sweet, perfectly balanced by the medium+, ripe and racy acidity. Dancing on the tongue, light, refreshing. Citrus fruits, lots of slate, some petrol/firn notes. The aromas linger on and on, very elegant and never loud. I really like this style of wine, and with only 8% abv one can easily drink a whole bottle at once. Lots of potential for further development for at least 10+ years. 92-93

Glass: Spiegelau Definition Universal.
Clear, medium golden with some copper reflexes. Very deep, floral and fruity nose, really beautiful.
On the palate wonderful pressure and tension. Ripe apple, some smoke, passion fruit, autolytic notes. Rather reductive. A bit sweet, but not disturbing. Very good length. Beautiful. 92-93

Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, drunk over multiple days. Clear, suprisingly deep golden color. Clean, intense, bold, powerful nose with pear, quince, mineral notes. On the palate more like a declassified Auslese, creamy intense, powerful. Very good balance of sweetness and acidity. Complex, long. No need to hurry, potential for at least another decade. 92-93
Fruit/Vegetable Wine
Glass: Zalto Universal
Drunk over multiple days. Solid Petnat with a bit sharp, unbalanced acidity. Drinkable. With the right food certainly a match, but without food nothing I need to repeat. 82-84

Best bottle (Belsers Restaurant, Nürtingen): Glass: Zalto Universal
Clear, medium deep glowing golden color. Incredibly complex, pronounced nose with fully mature Grünhaus flavours: Elder, tangeringe, fresh herbs. Wonderful perfume!
On the palate this unique combination of complexity, freshness and ease that only fully mature Grünhaus can provide. Wonderful tension, high, ripe and fully integrated acidity, meets finest tangerine peel and bourbon vanilla. Elder, woodruff and cassis are giving additional freshness. Such a tension and weightless power. The finish lasts for 30+ seconds. Amazing wine! 96-97

Powerful US Chardonnay. Very well made, for lovers of US Big Block V8 cars. I prefer more the classic elegance of Burgundy. 92-93

Tasted double blind. You feel the warm vintage. Certainly complex, but way too fat and without energy. Lacks acidity. Obviously immortal, but it won't get any better. 90

Tasted double blind. Medium intense, fully developed nose with a nice blend of mature notes, brioche, nuts, anise, yeast and some floral notes.
On the palate with perfect pressure on the front of the palate, but unfortunately that vanishes when it reaches the mid palate. Fine mousseux, good acidity. Very good Champagne at its peak. 90-91

Clear, deep purple, inky color. Deep, dark fruity and spicy nose. On the palate very deep and dense, extremly concentraled, lots of extract sweetness, creamy, lots of fruit and spices. Very powerful and long. Certainly very well made, probably a bit too much of everything :) 93+

Dinner with friends (Restaurant Bachofer, Wailingen): Glass: Schott Zwiesel Burgundy
Popped and poured. Beautiful ruby brilliant color. Nose and palate typical German/Austrian Spätburgunder. Vanilla, quite one dimensional, clear fruit, not much depth and tension, rather short finish. If I had purchased the whole bottle for almost 170 EUR at the Restaurant I would have freaked out. This is a solid 20-30 EUR Pinot, nothing more, nothing less. 87-88

Dinner with friends (Restaurant Bachofer, Wailingen): Glass: Gabriel Standard.
Popped and poured. Medium golden color. Warm, deep, zesty nose. On the palate very dense, juicy, noticeable residual sugar, but legally dry. Warm fruit, some noticeable oak, zests. Very deep, dense, good balance, good length. Not yet at its full peak. 92+

Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, drunk over three days. Clear, youthful lemon color. Expressive, stony nose, with some fine tobacco leaves. Deep, fine and beautiful. On the palate dry, enormous pressure, vibrant and with great tension and energy. Lots of crushed stones, fruit is in the background. Very balanced and deep. Very long. Still young, but way more open than my last bottle. It is already truly great, but will get even better! 2017 is a huge success for Keller. Wait 5-10+ years and it will be a perfect wine. 96++

Bottle opened ~10h before the tasting. Deep and dense nose. Not as precise as the Kellerberg and not as broad as the Vinothekenfüllung. Nice! On the palate old-school Wachau at its best. Creamy, salty, dense, some anise, herbs, tropical fruit and rather long. Will stay on this level for a long time! 93
