Great Cabernet producer. Medium body with impeccable balance. Needs time though, 5-10 years.

The wine, POP over four hours. So sold it was French, especially compared to the 07, that was oozing Napa Valley fruit. Slight hint on the attack its CA, but only after hour two it was more obvious. Crazy smooth texture and very well built. Hour three, pure bliss. Still young, but very drinkable if decanted. A classic. 95/96

Opened for 1-2 hours and was ready to go. Tannins resolved. Incredible nose, intricate and a sense of quality. The body was French in nature, super smooth, austere.

Stored since release. This is starting to fade after an hour of air in the bottle. Simple and a bit acidic. 87/88

Decanted and drank over 4 hours. Perfect cork. Either not budging or there isn't anything there. Leaning towards the latter.

An absolute rocket of a wine. Decanted 45 minutes and got better and better with time. Full throttle Cabernet that is still youthful, but in a great spot. 98+

Perfect provenance, perfect cork, stored since release as all prior Opus. However, this bottle was austere and very French in taste. Didn't detect any cork failure smells or tastes. It just seemed a dry, a bit faded or tired. All ' 07 bottles of Opus before this were all consistent in flavor/personality. Huh.

This was really interesting compared to past vintages of MB(36% Merlot). The weightlessness in the mouth was extraordinary. The fruit was pure, never overripe or sweet.
