Very low acidity and bitter tannins. Wife and I both didn’t care for this. Revisited on Day 2 and Day 3 but found no improvement before deciding to hold the remainder for cooking.

One of the worst wines I’ve ever had. It had no identifiable nose or flavors. Borrowing from other notes, it tasted “manufactured.” Ended up pouring half the bottle out to prevent company from drinking it.

This wine is finally starting to come around. The 2017 was much better early on, and I had been disappointed with previous openings of the 2018, but it’s starting to shine. Opened for 45 minutes before diving in.

This was stinky and awkward and great. Cork smelled like fresh lilies upon opening. Decanted for 1-2 hours then drank over 4. Smoked roses, barnyard, horse foam. Couldn’t do it every night but so good.
