Lovely nose, blackberry, dark cherry along with a fan of tertiary notes; leather, truffle, french oak hint of unsmoked cigar and dried herbs.

Palate opened up beautifully over 90 mins showing a real concentration of dark fruits along with beautiful tertiary notes of forest floor, oak/cedar, some tobacco leaf and leather. Nice long finish showing the different layers.

EDIT: Wow, something happened after 3 hours in the decanter it opened up even further! So much complexity, balance and length. A real depth and concentration to the fruit and tertiary flavours. Very long. Absolutely stunning - gave it an extra point over my original score of 96!

Apricot, pineapple, yellow melon and honeysuckle on the nose. Wonderful elegant palate with the above along with some mandarin orange, almond etc. Still young but already with wonderful balance and depth. Yquem is legendary for a reason.

Lovely nose of dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate and a touch of mocha. Silky and elegant cherry and blackberry on the palate along with some mocha and hint of darker truffle notes. Touch of darker spices. Good depth and concentration of flavour and a nice long finish showing off the complexity.

Lovely reductive nose with clean, ripe lemon and ripe yellow stone fruit. On the palate, good focused lemon also adding acidity and freshness along with riper yellow fruits. Undertone of gun flint adding a complex smokiness.

Pleased to try this as I find the vineyard v interesting and given that only 6 hl/ha produced (c. 500 litres).

Touch of dark cherry, ripe blackberry and some iris on nose, along with forest floor, cigar leaf and cedar. Cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry still discernable on palate with decent depth and freshness. Tertiary forest floor and tobacco leaves along with pencil shavings and hints of pepper. Considering this is almost 30 years old and a second wine it's an impressive showing. Holding up well bit I'd drink up over the next few years to enjoy at it's prime.

Cherry and recurrent on nose, with some slight touches of cream. On the palate some red fruit remaining along with a touch of oak and graphite tertiary flavours. Decent acidic balance but fairly simple and thin in flavour. It's holding up well for a 24 year old wine but a lot less going on vs the 1995 Pavillion Rouge tasted alongside.

Hello it is me again with another 94 point review for this excellent wine!

Compared to the La Pousse Cailleret drank alongside, this was much more subtle on the nose and more saline. Showed a very precise, pure and complex character. Pure pale lemon, lime some apple then opened up to show some riper stone fruit characteristics. A good salinity and showing hints of honey and white flowers on the long finish.

Tremendous acidic balance and vibrancy. Yet again I love this wine, as did my big White Burgundy drinking friend!

A real quality 1er Cru Puligy and paired wonderfully with the food at Artemis in Singapore. Great to drink alongside and contrast to the 2019 La Pousse Cailleret.

A lovely, ripe Puligny showing a concentrated, precise lemon, yellow stonefruit, melon etc with lots of butter and toastiness and some subtle honeysuckle and stone on the end.

Great balance and structure. A real quality 1er Cru Puligy and paired wonderfully with the food at Artemis in Singapore. Great to drink alongside and contrast to the 2018 Lafon Puligy Champgains.

Apricot, pineapple apples, some honey, all with a great lemon acidic balance. Lovely wide breadth of flavour.

A last minute addition as we fancied something sweet at the end of a brilliant dinner.

A perfectly stored bottle from the BB&R Family Reserves.

Lovely Bordeaux nose beginning to turn and show "mature claret" notes.

Blackberry, blackcurrant, some cherry, plum fruits along with pencil shavings, some sweet tobacco and smoke. Similar on palate. Good concentration, structure and balance. I love the cedar and graphite on finish. This still has a long life ahead.

A perfectly stored bottle from the BB&R Family Reserves.

Deep and concentrated dark cherry, blackberry touch of underripe raspberry. Dark fruit and some dark pepper. Fresh and balanced with a great concentration. Opens to show lovely cigar character.

I really enjoyed this and it is holding up very well from this excellent condition bottle

A perfectly stored bottle from the BB&R Family Reserves.

Wonderfully mature claret. Nose lovely dark fruit, cherry some blackberry with smokey cedar and dried flowers. Very elegant on the palate. Port Puri, cherry, blackcurrant. Some chocolate and leather. Very fresh and vibrant still. Nice long finish showing the complexity.

What was really awesome was trying this alongside the 1994 Ardanza which was already drinking well and being enjoyed by all. This just blew it out of the water. My WOTN as well as many others at the dinner.

A perfectly stored bottle from the BB&R Family Reserves.

Beautiful nose dark cherry, mushroom, ripe dark berries, plum, cedar and vanilla. Still incredibly fresh on the palate offering some stewed fruits, some chocolate and a lovely, wood-driven and mushroom depth. Walnut on the finish.

I am aware this note is far more positive than the others here, but this impression was shared by the wider group. The wine was holding up excellently and showing real freshness and vibrancy still as well as complex flavours. Probably thanks to the perfect storage with Berry Bros. Very impressive!

Beautiful, intense and complex nose. Petroleum, zippy lemon, green apples, some lime and melon/yellow stone fruit.

Similar complex fruitiness along with a nice minerality of stone along with touch of honey on finish. Real depth and concentration of fruit.

This is doubtlessly still very young; I can see what people say when they say that in its youth there isn't a huge difference between Trimbach's CFE and CSH, but I am pleased to say that this still had the edge in terms of concentration and complexity. Would love to revisit this in a couple of decades!

An intense nose including lemon white blossom and a touch of marzipan. Lemon and apple on palate with excellent concentration and a nice saline element.

This was certainly very good but I wouldn't call it "great" - I rated the 2012 Comtes and particularly 2012 Dom Perignon significantly higher. Also paled somewhat in comparison to the other wines enjoyed on this particularly special evening...

Decanted for 2 hours before serving and then enjoyed it continuing to open up and develop over the following 2 hours.

Very powerful, complex and beautiful nose. Blackcurrant, dark cherries, dried flowers, some sweet cedar and cigar leaf.

On the palate, juicy and concentrated cassis, dark cherry. Fresh. Mostly dark fruits but also a touch of raspberry and a dried floral element adding sweetness? Despite the still very youthful fruit, some tertiary flavours beginning to show, notably cedar, unsmoked tobacco leaf and a touch of earthiness, and even chocolate/liquorice showing. A very subtle smokey element. Lovely.

This is clearly still very young and I'd love to try in another 20 or 25 years - I imagine the score will approach 100pts. Regardless, this is a truly excellent claret and very enjoyable today. Perfectly balanced; powerful and concentrated yet very elegant. A beautiful, long finish showing all of its complexity.

NB the first-ever bottle of BB&R Family Reserves to be opened and enjoyed in Singapore

Distinct, interesting nose. Black olives dominate, some brine, touch of Bret (?) Reflected in a medicinal, minty character and some forest floor. Not much fruit. Surprising complexity on palate, some dark berries but still dominated by the briney, barnyard characteristics. Incense and a bloody meaty note. Not surprised this is a more natural wine. Works for what it is and was interesting and complex!

Blackcurrant, lavender and some liquorice on nose. Quite light on the palate offering ripe plum, blackcurrant, and dark cherries. A vegetal edge and some earthiness thanks to the whole bunches. Opened nicely but needs time.

92 for now but potential to improve with age.

Dark cherry, violet, some pepper, warm spice, touch of mocha and cedar on nose. Palate dark cherries, some blackcurrant with some oak, graphite and perhaps a hint of something meaty? Nicely balanced. Would be keen to try with more age.
