1/21/2018 - JPT99 Likes this wine: 96 pointsI couldn’t resist any longer and opened one up. Needs a lot more time in cellar. Even after decanting and several hours was very tight. Going to be fantastic in 10+ Years. Wont get into the next one until 2025 or later. |

Fell more on the earth side than fruit with a truffle, earthy finish. More classic Oregon in that sense. Nice drinker, balanced. Can probably do better for the price point (around $40) but not complaining either. :) |

3/8/2016 - JPT99 Likes this wine: 93 pointsWay to early to drink this without a long decanting. I initially did no such thing. Rich, dark purple color that does not disappoint on the palette. Big heavy fruit up front with a volcanic/chalk finish. Beautiful after decanting and a day's rest back in the bottle |

1/9/2016 - JPT99 Likes this wine: 92 pointsI am surprised at the low feedback on this one. I found it to be a nice drinker for the price. Nice fruit up front with some classic earth tones on the finish. Was a little better on day two. |

8/3/2015 - JPT99 wrote: NRNo pts assigned. Recent purchase from generally reputable store so should have had decent storage. Was good on Day 1 with no decanting but showed signs of its age. Little off balance. Some light fruit. Day 2 was not drinkable. |

7/20/2015 - JPT99 Likes this wine: 94 pointsVery pleasant drinker. Tanins are mellowed nicely. Could stand a bit more time in bottle. Muscular fruit character. Bit of leather. Nice balance. A wood fired steak would have been a welcome pairing. |

5/22/2015 - JPT99 Likes this wine: 91 pointsIt took me until the third bottle to figure this one out but was worth it when I did. Drank first two bottles over a day or two a couple months apart in 2014. Was interesting but in a feral, off putting way, on the earthy side and generally disappointing. The third bottle I got into on days 1, 3, 6 & 7. Last two days it was incredible. Tons of well structured fruit, some melted caramel and great finish. Give this one time. |
