Very floral and aromatic nose for Shiraz; macerated berries, boiled lollies, and a malty-nutty oak undercarriage. There’s a meaty note, and a slight green/herbal peppery streak. A little breathy.
Lightly Porty on the palate but still fresh. There’s still a lot of fine tannin that is a good structural foil for the sweet fruit. The aftertaste reminds me of a Cardhu scotch for some reason. Long finish, well controlled and balanced. The viognier makes itself known on the back palate.
Opinion: exceeding expectations. The wine retains freshness on day three and seems better integrated. It is a very enjoyable and easy-to-drink wine, especially with airing.

Has been in my cellar for a few years. Drinking ok but I enjoyed more as a younger wine, has become a bit bland, could be just in a slump but won't be keeping the rest very long.
