  Outstanding. Given my past misses with '07s recently, this was a breath of fresh air. The color was dark ruby to the edge with no sign of brick. The nose was fresh with well integrated forest floor, cedar, blackberry, violets, plumbs, and Rutherford Dust. Palate was similarly well integrated. Early in the evening the palate was heavier on the savory notes, but became more balanced with Rutherford Dust, cedar, tobacco, blackberry pie, clove, damp earth, and cassis. Definitely one of my favorites from the vintage.
