This bottle had much more going on than the last. Powerful with barn floor, chocolate, tar and blackberry. Medium finish. Overnight it did not lose anything, but mellowed out. Obvious bottle variation.

Refreshing quaff. Fruit forward with a nice mid-palate and good finish. Terroir comes through with a touch of earth and leather. But the leftover bottle died on the table overnight so I think there is not much stuffing here. Good weekday pasta wine.

This apperently sits between the Giacosa and Conterno properties.
Very dark and inky of the modern style in dolectto. Which I honestly don't like that much. But that could be because I have the assoication that Dolcetto should be light and easy. So if one doesn't conform to my ideals then...
But in any case, of the modern, grippy, Main Event Dolcetto style. Not a bad example.

aroma - eraser, sweet cherry; taste - tobacco, licorice, cherry; not too jammy
