  • Structuré et assez musclé. Brioche, levure et fruits blancs au nez et en bouche. C'est un Champagne de bouffe et ça reste un peu lourd. Pas un coup de coeur.

  • Light mousse with fine bubbles, quite acidic - strong on the bramley apple and lemon sherbet flavours. Fine as far as it goes but little of interest beyond the initial taste and not much of an interest left.
(Found a bottle that likely to have been bought reduced last year, can't remember where or the price.)

  • Lime green color. Ripe, autolytic and positively rich nose with toasty aromas of toffee, brioche and cookie dough, some cherry-driven red fruit and juicy white fruits. Quite crisp, medium-bodied and somewhat dark-toned on the palate with rich yet sufficiently bright flavors of citrus fruits, succulent yellow fruits, toasty autolysis, apricot skin, some cookie dough and a hint of cherry-driven red fruit. Balanced high acidity. Medium-long, crisp and quite mineral finish with flavors of lemony citrus fruits, sweeter yellow fruits, some chalky bitterness, a little bit of toasted bread and a hint of apple skin.

A nice, balanced and all in all well-made NV Champagne. Due to its rather dark-toned and muscular character I'd venture a guess that this is a quite Pinot-driven bubbly. Although weighty, the wine doesn't feel that big but instead sufficiently structured, focused and linear. Not the most complex effort, but still very pleasant and tasty stuff. Solid value at 35,90€.

  • Medium yellow. Developed nose with brioche, burnt cookie and candied citrus in the background. Light mid palate, more citrus that brioche, wit low acidity and short finish. Just ok.

  • Sabred this mag for Christuary. Was a hit. Solid as usual.
