  • Very nice sparkler. Apple and lemon notes, crisp, dry and clean on the palate. Nice finish. Lovely, light acidity. All together a lovely wine.

  • Trevlig producent och det här ett bra vin för pengarna. 30% på ek, 50/50 ch och pn. Äpple, citrus, lite grape, rostade hasselnötter, och en kryddighet. Bra köp!

  • Christmas Party - Wine Club (@ HSH): 5-6 years old bottle and interesting to taste. Ripe and pure flavors and it performed very well.

  • No disgorgement date disclosed. Normally this is a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) from two consecutive vintages and aged on the lees for 4-5 years.

Pale yellow color. Surprisingly complex and toasty nose with rich aromas of roasted nuts, some smoke, a savory hint of fresh red apple and a mineral touch of chalk dust. Lots of autolysis and even a hint of oxidative character here with very little sweetness. The wine is bone-dry and very crisp on the palate with toasty, autolytic flavors of brioche, roasted nuts, steely minerality, some lemony citrus fruits, a hint of apple peel bitterness and a touch of chalk. The wine is high in acidity with very refreshing overall quality and nice, bright and creamy mousse. The finish is long, focused and toasty with quite persistent, autolytic flavors of toasted bread, some butterscotch, a little bit of chalky minerality, hints of lemony citrus fruits and a touch of pithy grapefruit.

A very fine, bright and balanced Non-Dosé Champagne with a rather pronounced toasty - even subtly oxidative - character that took me by surprise. I was expecting a brighter, leaner and more tart, citrus-driven style, so the rich and toasty style surprised me very positively. Overall a very nice, pretty complex and enjoyably mouth-cleansing effort with great structure, focus and depth. Priced according to its quality at 45€.
