Opened a bottle tonight, just beautiful! When I see "drink by" I'm assuming folks did not sit on this? Nice tight cork, no crumble, dark stain at base.
Smooth, no oak, fruit is well integrated. Enjoying the plum and smoke. No heavy alcohol taste, just silkiness. I have several more bottles and will continue to enjoy. May still have another year, maybe two?

Finally time to kill the last bottle - drank with Andy again 3 years after the baby shower. I think this has finally turned the corner and wasn’t quite as electric as bottles past. It is time to drink up but I dearly wish I had a few more bottles to enjoy the decline over the next 5-10 years. Maybe one day I’ll find a random bottle in a store or on a wine list.

Drank at the baby shower. I love this wine with a passion and this was a great bottle. Objectively, it's not the most complex or thought-provoking wine. My fellow WSET friends evaluated it as "good for what it is" which is absolutely fair. However, put it in front of casual wine drinkers, those who appreciate wine but don't obsess, and it just radiates joy. I have 1 bottle left and will now think very carefully about when I drink that.

Blackcurrant, dark plum, cassis, blackberry, cloves. Gobs of fruit, well integrated tannins, enough acidity to keep it fresh, medium + body. Drank as well on the last glass as the first. Quintessential, well-made Napa cab at the price. Right in the window. Decant it for an hour or so for some of the overt fruit to be replaced by some tertiary aromas / flavours. Love it.
