V. faint spritz, pale; touch stiff on the nose, whiff of nectarine, hessian & wet slate; distinctly sweet, an inviting mineral cut & fruit; relaxed after a couple+ hours; will benefit from a few more years. Finishes in positive fashion, very long.

Pale; low key, elegant nose, whiff of nectarine; distinctly sweet, fruity, crisp acidity to counter-balance, slatey, more than a dash of panache; just lacks the necessary depth, concentration & length to propel it into the top echelon.

My first encounter with this grower. Day 1: Very nice citrusy acidity, semi-sweet as one would expect from a respectable Spätlese with an elegant slate, citrus and sour pineapple finish. Very clean style. The only thing stopping it from receiving another 2 points, at this stage, is the fact that the after taste is rather short. Will develop further in your cellars!
Day 2; To be continued...
