Area: San Rocco Seno d’Elvio (Barbaresco) Age: Minimum 12-year-old vines Vinification: Max 1 kilo of grapes per vine. First part happens in cement tanks, where the wine also goes through malolactic fermentation. After this, the wine gets 6 months in large oak Botti, before it is bottled.
A light and approachable Nebbiolo with a lovely fruitiness and a hint of roses - although it has developed depth, structure and a little tannin-bite from the time in Botti. It can definitely benefit with a little time in a decanter beforehand, or be aged for several years.
