  A light floral nose, with a faint hint of butter, and deep cherry-garnet color in the glass are the first impressions of this fine gem I've had cellared for two years. Complex fruitiness with a hint of plum and cherry, faint vanilla, and a little fresh peach on the long finish. Very smooth, balanced tannins and acidity. Would go great with any robust meats, like a perfect steak off the grill, or with robust Mediterranean (Greek or Ialian) dishes such as lasagna or pastitsio. However, I find something like this MUCH more enjoyable when sipped slowly and enjoyed with a minimal of taste interference - such as with a modest charcuterie assortment.
