Good color - deep burgundy w expected bricking at rim. Fairly muted nose upon opening but it developed great nuanced complexity with air - saddle leather, plum, orange rind - good after 2+ hours and 5x better 2nd day. Reminded me somewhat of a decent mature Barolo. Medium body, well balanced, tannins resolved, this is fully mature. Well stored bottles may hold a few more years but no upside anticipated, drink up.

Great Burgundy color. Spicy, peppery, robust, big burgundy flavors, including currant, ripen plum, and black cherry; tannins are present but mellowed; went well with prime rib. Better with food than without. Tried the next night, had mellowed a bit, less pepper, still very good. I will try another bottle in three months, then another in six months. Believe it is at its prime, but could benefit from a little more cellar time.

No need to decant. Great Burgundy color. Spicy, peppery, robust, big burgundy flavors, including currant, ripen plum, and black cherry; tannins are present but mellowed; went well with prime rib. Better with food than without. Day Two: Still very potable. Smooth with some pepper remaining. Nice flavor.
