As a fellow taster with Tobinski, I took the remainder of the bottle home. It sat in my fridge untouched until now. There’s chocolate cherry and rose on the nose. Nice! The palate and weight are lightish for a Barolo, and a bit coarse. The tannins are as expected for a Barolo. The finish is surprisingly appealing. The cherry really shines and there is good length. Extended breathing, well maybe not always 5 days, seems to benefit Barolo for this taster. I certainly understand Tobinski’s assessment having tasted it earlier.

10/18/2023 - Tobinski Does not like this wine:
VC Wednesday night group (Ypsilanti, MI): Yikes. Tasted tired, with frail tannin for a 16 Barolo. Overpowering licorice and mint too.
