Red fruit, rose petal, iron, marzipan, spices, earth, toast, light smoke, and intense minerality, with fine, well-integrated tannin, and superb length. Some VA. The tannin is dry, but the wine leaves an impression of sweetness as a result of a combination of ripe fruit and high alcohol/glycerin. A good Barolo that is best enjoyed with food. In our case, it paired well with a rib-eye steak. Drink now (after extended aeration) and over the medium term.
