Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 89 points

  • This wine forged a reputation as an Australian PG leader (indeed I think some 17 vintages in) but in recent years seems to have missed the limelight. But, based on this tasting, me thinks that's unfair. I think this might be the best local PG I've tried, or must be close to, but of course I make this comment based on a relatively small sample size. This is fresh even at 3yrs; wonderful mineral cut with edges of sweetness (not much), musk, pears, some acid. Def on the dry side for Gris and the mineral-driven palate is impressive. As easy reco.
