Blend of dark ruby and cherry colors. Aromas of black cherry with a hint of chocolate. It coats the palate with black cherry fruit with a hint of cedar. Good wine but not as flavorful as the Dry Creek Vineyards "Old Vine" Zinfandel.

Dry Creek Vineyards (Upstairs (The Jug)): Almost old-world nose of black cherry, spicy oak, and earth with some tobacco. The palate is gripping and intense coffee, tobacco leaf, black inky fruit components. This is a full bodied, aggressive tannin Merlot. Balanced too!

Poured at a retailer tasting. Garnet color. Nice spicy dark fruit notes and a touch of chocolate. Chewy tannins, with decen dark fruit flavors.
