Mixed Bag at Irene's (Irene's House, St. Paul): Light plus gold color. Drank a glass over 2 hours. This was pretty tight out of the gate. It was reticent and not very giving. It really took between 30 and 60 minutes to start to evolve. Once it did, it was quite good. Lemon peel, ocean, briny, slate and apple, with building weight and definition. Last bottle of the Vaillons.

Excellent mature Chablis. Medium to full bodied with aromas and tastes of grapefruit, lemon, Granny Smith Apple, chalk and honey. Crisp acidity with nice finish.

Burgundy WIMPS #170 27th October 2023 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Some tart / sweet blood orange marmalade on the nose to start, a little riper than the other two in the flight. Palate has a little oyster shell and some grassiness. Think the other two a whisker ahead on the day.

Gourmetklubbens femtiosjätte middag (A+N, Sundbyberg): Mature nose showing butter, lemon citrus and minerals in a pleasant way and with an intense palate showing a buttery note on the mid with a tropical sweetness on the finish. (Best 2010-2025)

Nose of lemon citrus, quince and chalky minerals. Refined. Palate of bright Meyer lemon, lime, honeysuckle flowers balanced acidity with Chardonnay fruit with mineral chalky soil with seashell diatoms from the past millennia. The finish goes on for ever, but this wine is on its last legs. But still excellent-one of best producers of Chablis!!
