I keep getting surprised and even disappointed sometimes of hyped producers and what their wines actually delivers. This wine is pale pink with a high number of very small delicate bubbles. I mostly find grapefruit but also some unripe strawberries. I'm really trying to understand what makes Savart sought after but don't understand it, of course this is an entry level wine from Savart but still not worth paying 80-90€. For me it is not even in the 50€ range. I don't get it. Put your money on Hebrart or Philippe Lancelot instead.

Nice fruity nose with raspberry, strawberry and red currant along with marzipan. On the palate good concentration of fruit. Red berries, strawberry and some lime and lime zest acidity adding absence. Some green apple along with some marzipan, cream and hint of cinnamon on finish. Great richness and balance. Lovely and a standout rose I've had recently.
Disgorged August 2022 (and follows what I've read before about the more recent disgorgements having a greater intensity)

(Disgorged in January 2018, base year 2015 with 50% reserves from 2014, 65% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay with 5% Coteaux Champenois Rouge d’Écueil, dosage 6 gr/L) Lovely pale salmon pink colour with endless streams of fine bubbles rising in the glass. Incipient maturity on the nose showing wild strawberries, juniper wood and some hints of candied lemons in a very delicious way. Nice and smooth with a raspberry acidity on the palate combined with lemons and with a hint of bitter almonds on the lengthy finish also showing some juniper wood. Just delicious right now! (Probably best with 3-6 years extra cellaring)
