Cork very brittle but not leaking or discolored. Pale orange color. Definite signs of age with fair amount of original richness underneath, which faded over 45 minutes. Better 5 years ago.

One of the better US chardonnays I've had. Nose of butter and toast. Surprisingly, really well balanced. Ripe apples on the palate, well balanced with the oak. Very nicely integrated.

Fairly disappointing. Perhaps it is suffering from bottle shock? Just got it from the DCV wine club so it could have suffered a travel hazard. Just didn't seem to live up to earlier DCV vintages from this vineyard or the Reserve chardonnays this fruit has been used for in earlier vintages.
