  • A blend of Malvasia Istrana and Vitovska, macerated for 4 days on the skins, fermented with natural yeasts. Traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wine that hasn't been fined or filtered. No added sulfites - free SO2 12 mg/l.

Deep yellow to orange color. Very heady and expressive, almost red wine-like nose with complex, slightly funky aromas of ripe cherries, leather, some clay earth, a hint of barnyard and a touch of roasted nuts. Moderately full bodied yet dry and crisp on the palate with high acidity and intense flavors of leather, chopped nuts, stony minerality, some wizened yellow fruits, a little bretty funk and a hint of bitterness. Very smooth and creamy mousse. The finish is long, complex and wild with enormously attractive flavors of roasted nuts, dried yellow fruits, earth, leather and some candied orange peel.

An exceedingly interesting bubbly of the highest degree - to say this wine is excellent is an understatement. It is ridiculous how this wine feels like a really wild, attractive and funky (not excessively so!) orange wine, yet drinks like a high-quality sparkling wine. These two almost opposite characteristics don't clash with each other in any way, but instead only complement each other remarkably well. A wine so unique you really need to taste it before you can appreciate it fully. Superb.
