This is excellent right now. Definitely the red - but not overripe - fruit and sexiness of Pinot, but it has an extra layer of flavor and texture - forrest mugginess with oak.

Drank against a 2007 Frederic Magnien Cambolle Musigny. Typical vanilla & earth nose. A touch of sweetness on the palate relative to the higher alcohol, lower fruit forward Burgundy. This is a Old wine to drink alone or with food. Great balance & structure and typical well made Foxen Pinot.

Juicy red fruits, sage, cola, pepper. Gulpable. Reminds me of a New Zealand Marlborough Pinot. Dense, spicy, slightly ripe. Drink or hold, but drinking nice right now. Nothing like a cab as mentioned in the note below.

Excellent fruit and some secondary aromas. Very balanced with great acidity and finish.

Fairly deep, but not all that complex complex. Enjoyable, and good on its own it's with meat (but not fish). Drinks much like a slightly light cab.
