  Christmas Eve and somewhat dysfunctional family, but still sister in law agrees with me that this bottle was in its best window for drinking. Don’t ask me why, but was damn good before, during and after dinner. Also have had younger Final Final’s before and I know it is good with pizza and just about anything else as well, so was not really surprised that it was this good and easy drinking

  Very good blend that took a while to balance out. It didn't last long after that so I would drink soon.

  A very good blend that is just getting in to it’s drinking window. Could go a few more years but I don’t see it getting a lot better.

In fact, I wish I’d not have remembered that because when we visited the winery 2yrs ago, I was impressed with this wine and so bought some. However, when it came time for them to deliver it, they had apparently run out and so, sent us the subsequent vintage. Very disappointed! Anyways...
  It took this one a bit to open up but the aromatics were impressive right out of the gate. Black fruits with a briary, herbal edge that really developed into something compelling, an hour+ in. The flavor profile was similar, with crunchy blackberries, subtle roasting spices and a notable richness. Tannins had mellowed and the acidity was noticeable but non obtrusive.

  This one had some drying tannins at the finish. Might wait a year for the next one.
