Very gold color. Fresh, rich but light at the same time. Lovely bright acidity with a balancing sweetness (but not too much) and a bitter finish. Grapefruit, corbezzolo honey (which is not very sweet!), orange pith, lanolin, hay. I had this with cheese but it would do well with lightly spiced food and is still dry enough to work with a creamy chicken dish. I believe this has room to improve with more age so I will keep mine for at least a few more years and some even longer but very good right now.

Huet-A-Thon (Bay Area Edition): Relatively fresh on the nose with no hint of sherry, but rather a subtle hint of lanolin. Racy, well-integrated acidity on the palate with notes of citrus, bitterness and spice. This is surprisingly dry tasting to me.

Deep yellow. Crystalline, clear, pure quince and honey. Off dry, rich, focused, and penetrating. Despite the color, nothing advanced about the palate. Classic Demi-Sec. Loved this bottle.
Predicted correctly that this would pair well with lightly spiced chicken tacos, guac, and queso fresco. With 8 years of age, the wine has started to soften and round out. I preferred it slightly above cellar temperature, perhaps 60 degrees.

Recent notes are right on for this wine. Not especially giving aromas leaning towards floral and honey notes. The palate is more open, with soft fruit, velvety texture, and a distinctive mineral tang lingering on the finish, bordering on metallic. This is less open and expressive than a recent 2017 CdB sec. It offers a pleasurable drink now but should really have additional cellar time to deliver more of its potential.
