13% alcohol. Very good long cork, close to being overkill. The colour is pretty dark for Gamay, but it shows substantial thinning at the rim. The nose has notes of wild strawberries, some fresh, some macerated; unusual but certainly not unpleasant. The mouth is more classically Beaujolais with wild red berries and marked acidity in the finish. While I like the wine, I cannot escape the thought that it falls between two stools, being neither the overwhelmingly fruity type (eg Lapalu B-V vv or indeed young Bouland Chiroubles) nor the richer more substantial type (eg MaV from Janin, Jadot, Labruyere, Liger-B etc...). Enjoyable on its own terms.

13% alcohol. Good long cork with uneven wine penetration, ranging from 1 to 7 mm. Medium colour, pretty dark for Gamay. The nose is pretty accomplished with pure red berries and plenty of energy. The mouth is similarly savoury with a winning juicy quality and finely judged acidity; this is so pleasing that it does not invite detailed analysis, says he lazily... This wine looks like it could age gracefully for another five years. A textbook Beaujolais and a repeat purchase.

13% alcohol. The cork is quite long, but the quality is mediocre, with several deepish fissures. Minimal wine penetration nevertheless. Fairly dark colour for Gamay. Very good nose with exuberant red berries and a suggestion of forrest floor. The mouth is suitably high-pitched with upfront energetic fruit. A vg example of its type.

{from a mixed case of Bouland wines I forgot I owned; perfect fill} Wow what a delicious wine, very Cote de Brouilly - wonderful. A revelation for me as have had very few bottles from this producer. An excellent example of the benefits of aging! Liked this a touch more than the Morgon Corcellette (91 points, perhaps) drunk the next night.
