Cloudy crimson ruby color. Strong fennel on the nose with underlying red berries. The fennel nose carries through into the wine itself along with jammy blackberry and wild game notes. The finish is onion and garlicky. Strange wine, but enjoyable.

I felt like I was supposed to like this more. Perfectly serviceable, with lean notes of pepper and cassis providing classic Syrah flavors, along with fairly racy acidity. However, the wine struck me as utterly unstructured, and rather came off as him, with a weak mid-palate and somewhat fading finish. Based on that, I'd drink up.

Lovely wine but needs a few more years yet. Nice blackcurrent Flavours... unfortunately it struggled to compete with the company of the Yarra Yering
