Bottle in excellent condition. Decanted gently as great deal of sediment. Nose showed zero hints of the TCA described in older Cockburns. Great mature port with powerful nose of dark cherries, prune, fig, pepper, leather. Long intense finish. Had opened up further when finished the next day. Great port. (@Home)

Just a few drops. Tasted separately during the whole week preventing fatigue. Difficult to define. Vulgar on the nose. Simple on the palate. Still good? Simply fair IMHO.
Solo unas gotas. Catado por separado durante toda una semana evitando la correspondiente fatiga. Difícil de definir. Vulgar en nariz. Simple al paladar. ¿Todavía bueno? Simplemente justito en mi humilde opinión.

Complex and wonderful on the nose. Great condition. Mulberry and dried fruit, fudge, coffee and chocolate. Medium (+) body. Slightly of balance in terms of alcohol (high), but long finish.

After reading notes from others regarding the many flawed bottles of this vintage, I opened this port on Christmas Eve with low expectations. But after a decant of roughly 24 hours, I am reminded of why aged vintage port is one of the world’s great wines. On the nose are notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, Asian tea, and a hint of vanilla…complex but still fresh, vibrant and inviting. Light garnet in color, with various shades of bright amber towards the rim. On the palate: wonderfully balanced with med acidity and smooth tannins still present to help offset the thick, sappy medley of rich red fruit. Long finish, and a wonderful accompaniment to our Christmas morning.
