YB belated at Pine Close. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Thin legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of bready yeast, rich vinous yellow apples/pears, cream peach, citrus lemon. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon, rich yellow/golden apples/pear, cream peach, confection, limestone minerality. Long finish. Very good quality. Ripe and expressive. Feels like there is Pinot Noir in this! BdB 100% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger. Dosage 4g/l.

Green apple, apple pie on the nose! Really expressive and really showing ripe fruit on the nose with just a touch of yeast. Overall enjoyable even though dry anyone who likes a touch of fruit/sweet flavors will also enjoy this since the ripeness is front and center.

Very nice. Will probably not mature more in the right direction. Drink before 2021. Grape fruit and yellow apples. Medium yeast. A bit closed taste and medium body. But, a very nice wine. We had it as an aperitif.

Starting Thanksgiving with a glass of Champagne... Open and radiant, with notes of vanilla, sweet spices, ripe pear, also some nice minerality, brioche, also some nutty notes. Ripe and succulent, with medium-full body and nice medium acidity as well as a slightly creamy small mousse. Good length. A very good Grand Cru Blancs de Blanc that has the ripeness of the vintage but plenty of freshness too. Probably at peak now and over the next 2-3 years. Excellent value too (at $35).

J & K Anniversary Wine Night (Lyon Again): This was a very nice opener for the evening. A vinous (instead of "bubbly" if you know what I mean) palate with grapefruit, lemon zest, ginger, chalk, and sourdough bread notes. Nice persistence. Still lovely on day two.
