  • Our last bottle from Anne’s 40th Bday case! Tasted alongside the 2012 Dominus, neither decanted, it held its own impressively for the first hour or so, showing a bit more opulent nose and a brighter flavor profile with some obvious cherry zing. Eventually its big brother began to strut its stuff with air time and it became very obvious which of the two bottles got the exceptional grapes, but for a 12yo second wine this was just pure enjoyment. I think it’s at its peak now, which is why we’ve been drinking up the last few.

  • Tasted at a dinner on Disney Cruise.

Rich red cherries (not jammy though), smoke, and spice. Big, concentrated, and intense (but not too heavy). The tanin is grippy, but polished.

    Highly recommended.

  • 95% Cab with 5% Petit Verdot. Only 20% new oak. Dinner with AK, ET and welcome home.. again, TC!

Yes it comes across as being quite balanced, but somehow I felt that it comes across as being a wine with little signature or uniqueness. Just not that memorable!

Acidity medium, tannins unresolved, with sour cherry notes. Somehow either this wine is past its drinking window... or its in a sleepy phase now, I honestly can't quite tell.

Restrained, not showing itself last night, and frankly.. quite dissapointing. At USD 120, I really expected more of Moueix and this being a Dominus second wine!

  • Aromatic nose with red and black fruits, chocolate and spices. Medium acidity and medium tannin. Medium finish.
