Maturing very slowly, all the better for it. Sous bois here, spice, plenty og red and dark berries, ripe fruit; slight hints of vanilla also, still a New World wine (as it should be) despite Veronique Drouhins so elegant touch. #35thAnniverssary#Hjorths

Nose of stewed red fruit, dried flowers, spice and something lactic. On the palate, clean cherry, black cherry, some of that lactic, baked strawberry. Clean polish. Combination of polish, a slightly funky savory note, and med+ acid that reminds me of Burgundy, but veers too lactic. With air, the fruit picks up some juicy acidity and becomes more powdery. 14% not present as heat, but lends heaviness to the wine.
