Served 12C. Needs an hour to open up. Then it really shines. Stonefruit + butterscotch + vanilla cream. Everything in its place. I think it could stand it’s ground against wines like Leeuwin Art Series and Giaconda Estate of the same vintage, but maybe in its peak already. Just as good on the second night (gassed between) but a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Still Fantastic. Drink by 2022.

End of year sparkling wine tasting: Pear, graphite, oak, lemon and spice. Palate is nicely restrained, if the texture were a little better this would be excellent. I still really quite like it though.

Spicy oak nose. Intense flavours from the start, Acidity balancing the strong oak. Unbalanced finish. Needs time.

German Riesling, By Farr and Burgundy tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): Buttery oak integrated with citrus perfume on the nose and a concentrated palette of fruit, filled to the brim with minerals that winds out to a massive finish.
