1 hour decant. Deep garnet with a purple hue. Mostly translucent. Nose of blackberries and alcohol with some notes of smoke. Taste is very similar (with blackberry being the most prominent flavor) with a little initial sweetness then a great balance of tannins and acidity. Medium to heavy bodied. Pretty long finish with some residual acidity and crushed black pepper at the end but not a bite. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice. 91-92.
I'm liking the full flavor and balance of Washington reds more all of the time.

Excellent; rich, bold, yet not overpowering taste of fruit, wonderfully balanced, moderate tannin. Smooth and delicious. Medium finish. The Merlot's influence is very nice and perfectly polishes the Cabernet's richness.

This is ready showing its age but drinking well. Well balanced but the oak is coming through.

A great example of Red Mountain Cabernet. Full bodied, rich savory flavors. Worked well with honey mustard chicken and as a cocktail wine.
