Retail $50. 90% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay. I picked up three bottles of this wine from an online "deal" for around $30/bottle. While I seemed to have really liked the first bottle and thus considered the purchase a bit of a "steal" the other two bottles have been very good, but nothing to warrant a tariff above the thirty bucks I paid. Good acidity and decent fruit, but like with other wines from this producer, I find the dosage (how much sugar is added back to the wine) to be a shade too high. $30? sure. $50? Not so much. thedrunkencyclist.com

This is the second bottle of this wine that we have tried and it is a decided departure from the first, albeit slight. After a more than disappointing bottle of another champagne, we opened this to hopefully right the ship. While it did that, it did so only just barely. Strawberry fruit sneaks through an otherwise rather dirty, muted nose. The palate is marginally better, with decent fruit, ample tartness, and an above-average finish. Not stellar by any measure, but it still merits a "Very Good" rating. thedrunkencyclist.com

90% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay. I am a sucker for what I perceive to be a "good deal" and that is multiplied several fold when it comes to champagne. When I received the notice for this deal, I dove head-first. While certainly not disappointed, I wish the producer would reduce the dosage (the amount of sugar added after the fermentations. The wine IS delightlful (despite the added sugar) with a vibrant sparkle emanating from the salmon-colored wine with strawberry and cherry aromas on the nose. The palate is lovely, although lacking fruit initially. Said fruit comes through on the midpalate with plenty of rich strawberry and a touch of yeast. A solid wine by any measure. thedrunkencyclist.com
