  • Requires 2 hours decanting - don't worry, the wine can handle it. When first opened, had a distinct sulphur meets forest floor nose, but the taste was all wrong, kind of like wet paper with some cedar, and no real fruit. After about an hour, finally started to show signs of subtle berry and leather in the taste. The nose became more and more burgundian toward the 2 hour mark. Finally, the taste arrived, a subtle cherry flavor, backed by the same leather, some earth, and generous length. Balance became more evident even later. A very nice wine, but you must decant for 2 hours. Purchased in France, at the Chateau caves, in 2007.
