1st of two bottles purchased in 2014. Stored at 57F in my cellar. Needed an hour still to open and was a perfect pairing with beef short ribs for NYE. An amazing bottle of wine still after all these years. Red Mountain fruit at its finest.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of mushroom, blueberry, black pepper and plum. Flavors of berries, cherries and plums. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink now.

Opened an hour prior to dinner. This was the last and best bottle of the half case I bought 10 years ago. The nose was dark red fruit with hints of chocolate. The palate was dark cherry, blackberry, strawberry jam and chocolate. The finish was moderate to long. Served with a simple roast chicken.

(Col Solare Red Wine Columbia Valley) Dark ruby. This wine is closed up aromatically at present but opens to reveal dark cherries, dry chocolate, and spice. The palate is full of chocolate and cherry flavors with a backbone of fine grained tannins. Give one year. 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Syrah. Sample provided by winery.
(Col Solare Col Solare Columbia Valley) Lots of vanilla and other oak aromas along with light blueberry on a quiet nose. Tannins are quite gripping at present. 68% Cabernet; 20% Merlot; 10% Cabernet Franc; 2% Syrah.

Cork was in great shape and equally good as the same vintage five years ago.
