The tannins and oak in the '14 have it in a vice grip, and the '06 isn't much better. I would have expected the '06 to have settled down and presented better, but unfortunately not. The fruit is still restrained by the oak and tannin combination. Hard to tell exactly what's going on here, except to say that it's flat, dry and not that enjoyable. Disappointing.
