Monday, December 10, 2012 - Opened and poured a sample. The aromatics clearly speak of the Northern Rhône, with olives, herbs and lavender. The large-scaled palate isn't giving up too much yet, but shows plenty of tannins and dark fruit (though it's not a "big and ripe" wine). Then a bit of a mineral finish. This really doesn't change over the course of a couple hours, but shows great energy and focus. Need to put these away for at least a few years.
