Thursday, September 13, 2012 - This is the best vintage of Gonon red wine I've had. I love the purity and detail of the aromas, the typicity and the complexity. I love the balance on the palate and the depth throughout the middle palate into the finish. The wine has great acidity and structure, and on day 2 it is harmonious in a compelling way. There is a vivid earthy minerality underneath all of the fruit. Delicious now, but very clearly seems like it will develop well in the cellar.
