Wednesday, September 27, 2023 - My penultimate bottle from a case. Last bottle was 2019. This is just stunning wine. It needs a decant, but even without much of one it was remarkable. It had some volatile acidity at the beginning but this faded eventually. Fine, clear orange color. Light tobacco notes, plum skin. Fine sweetness. Elegant and graceful. Tons of acidity as you would expect, so good with food. I should have decanted it longer (an hour?) perhaps but it was still so good.
