Friday, March 18, 2022 - Vibrant nose delivers margarita (yes, the cocktail), petrol, white nectarine and wet rocks all at once--POW. You find yourself leaning back instantly, thinking "what just happened?" White pepper and lions mane mushroom notes join the aromas on the palate and glide into a dry, lip-smacking acid finish that goes on for days. This could be immortal.

The fact you gave a score says volumes. Thanks for the intel, you. Hope you are keeping well.

I don't get Orofino, TBH. I hear terrific reviews and when I try it - I am let down. Just seems so one-dimensional to me. Am I drinking them too early? I have only enjoyed their Gamay...but just.

I wish I bought a case of this Riesling. You ever have those regrets?

3/18/2022 6:30:00 PM - Maybe you needed to let the Orofino breathe a lot? My note on the '18 Clone 21B: 10/14/2021 - I LIKE THIS WINE: NR (Edit)
Insanely delicious. Honey, pink grapefruit and nutmeg. Showed brighter on Day Three than Day One. BC rieslings continue to amaze.

It doesn't have the Tantalus' margarita, but it was quite good. I now have four (untasted) bottles of the '19, I think, Old Vines. And yes, I know that "wish I'd bought a case" feeling. I feel it all the time. On the other hand, I have too much wine and that keeps me in check.

    Much to learn, have I.
