Sunday, February 6, 2022 - 2 hour decant.
Medium raspberry color; muted nose. Probably should’ve waited a bit longer before going back to the well once again, but I couldn’t resist. The wine jumps out of the glass with a delicious ripe fruit- forward profile with plenty of tannins on the back end. This wine is a precocious baby, with many years of life ahead. I will do my best to resist opening another bottle anytime soon, but I am not confident that I can keep my hands off my remaining bottles. If I blow through these too quickly, I’ll console myself that I have a stash of the Montefico, Rabaja . Paje and Ovello bottlings in reserve.
