Friday, December 24, 2021 - Since we moved our Xmas Eve dinner from NYC to Ct it deterred me from enjoying the wines that were served. I brought this magnum and tried a glass early in the evening. It was poured through a vintorio. The nose was red fruit. The palate was red fruit, pine, forest floor and spice. The finish was moderate in length. Decanting for a few hours would probably raised the score. I was tempted to try another glass later in the evening after the bottle had been open for a few hours but the thought of an almost two hour drive with the first 30 minutes being on unlit local roads changed my mind.
