Friday, October 1, 2021 - #08-93, 7.5% abv. Not quite as good as I remember this wine being. The nose is classic old riesling -- not just old riesling, but old Wehlener Sonnenuhr -- as this had decidedly developed that slight blue cheese/creamy aroma. Still quite fresh, the nose shows some herbal elements and implies a modest amount of sugar, which is exactly what is delivered on the palate. Overall though, this is relatively thinner and has less body than better vintages. Not particularly acid driven, this just seems like it floats on air...
