Monday, November 30, 2020 - tasted at a blind nebbiolo tasting outside with a wood burning fire throwing out substantial smoke. tasted with 4 other young nebbiolos. somewhat muted nose that was hindered by the smoke. cherry and red berry on the palate along with substantial tannins and classic nebbiolo acidity. the wine did not seem to open up and may have in fact started to close down for the next several years compared to the two previous bottles of this that i have really enjoyed. all of these wines were a little bit on the chilled side which might have been a factor as well.
