Friday, July 3, 2020 - Underripe plum and dry leaves and twigs, all with a patina of rainwater. A tannic dryness that outpaces an acidic wetness to create a papery mouthfeel. Medium-bodied at most. Well-crafted and interesting, but overpriced ($40) in light of the many stellar, complex red options on the market for much less. Perhaps too much brand and/or appellation is figured into the price, or maybe Piemonte nebbiolo is just too trendy right now. An enjoyable bottle, but definitely not rushing out to buy a replacement.
